Depending on the functions of the braking system, forklifts are generally equipped with two independent and very reliable braking systems:
1. Driving brake device: foot brake, which is used to brake the forklift while it is driving to slow down and stop the forklift;
2. Parking brake device: that is, the hand brake device, which generally adopts a mechanically driven mechanism to ensure that the vehicle can brake for a long time after parking. And when the service brake device fails, the hand brake device becomes the emergency braking device.
