Precautions for Replacing HELI Forklift Brake Shoes:
1. Forklift brake shoes, also known as forklift brake pads, are a kind of consumables, that will gradually wear out during use. They must be replaced when they are worn to the limit, otherwise it will reduce the forklift braking effect and even cause safety accidents.
2. Forklift brake shoes generally consist of two parts: the iron lining plate and the friction material. Be sure not to wait for the friction material part to wear out before replacing the brake shoes.
3. It is best to use HELI genuine brake shoes when replacing so that the braking effect between the brake pads and discs is best and wear is minimized.
4. When replacing the brake wheel cylinder, you must use a special tool to push the brake wheel cylinder back. Don't use other crowbars to push it back hard. Otherwise, the guide screws of the brake caliper will bend and the forklift brake shoes will become stuck.
5. After replacing the forklift brake pads, it is necessary to step on the brake pedal 3-5 times. The purpose is to drive the piston of the wheel cylinder through the brake, thereby squeezing the brake pads of the forklift to reset the piston, and then exhaust the air in the brake wheel cylinder. Then adjust the gap between the brake pad and the brake hub again according to different situations, so that the friction surface of the brake reaches the maximum contact surface, thereby exerting the best braking effect.
